Cora's Willow Copper Earrings

Some pieces you forget you're wearing - until the light catches them and reminds you. I made these hoops for the women who want something real on their ears without having to think about it - each one formed by hand from a single length of copper wire, shaped into its circle, then faceted one small strike at a time until the whole surface catches light the way only hammered copper does.

Copper has been worn close to the skin for thousands of years, and the women who come back to me always say the same thing: it just feels right in a way they can't quite explain. 

These are among the last earrings I'll make before I close my workshop for good. I hope they find the ears that will wear them every single day.
